November 20th. Peter Pugh. Another Bloody Railway.

Peter was assisted by his wife Rosemary and together they provided a superb eveningís entertainment with the Far East British Mail Via the Trans Siberian Railway. The first half concentrated on the period from 1903 to 1912 and included the many ports and towns visited on-route.

The period from 1913 was covered after the break and Peter told us of the different gauge tracks that had to be negotiated and the many forms of transport including Donkeys and Stage coach, that provided links for parts of the mails journey
