November 16th A visit from Northampton.

Clifford Masters gave a detailed look at St Helena with Photographs and maps before giving his display of material of mainly stamps during the first showing and after the break Cliff showed us early covers posted to and from the Island.





June 15th 2011 Collin Such, A Postcard display

Colin is a postcard specialist working with Warwick and Warwick auctioneers, He gave a talk based on his experiences as a valuer and Illustrated this with items from his collection with the use of a screen and computer which made it possible for members to view the items together. This proved popular and all agreed it was a most interesting evening.


May 18th French Colonies

Mike Bister showed items of interest from the 2nd Largest colonial empire in the world after Great Britain,
Mike started with the designs of Joseph De La Neziere from 1873and brought us up to the 1900s with Issues from Djibouti Somali coast and French West Africa and others. Also material from french Post Offices in other countries such a China.


April 20th Wembley part one

Don Knight showed through stamps and postal stationery Events that took place at Wembley and the countries that exhibited in the Great exhibition of 1924-25 with the release of what was to be the the first British Commemorative stamps.
Also items from the first football cup final that took place there.
We look forward to seeing Don again soon with Part 2.

February 20th 2011
