Leighton Buzzard.
Alistair Kinnon showed stamps from Singapore
issued on a yearly basis featuring the Chinese
New Year. Our members amused themselves by
trying to discover which symbol they were born
under.
Nick Guy . gave an in-depth display of Imperial
Airways material, focusing on routes within
Africa
Julie Barnard concluded with postage stamps that
she had collected to prove to her husband that
stamps were “More than just a little piece of
paper” In fact one issue was made from wood.
Others included 3D stamps, Illuminous stamps,
Stamps with rock particles in the design and
even some stamps which included fragments of HMS
Victory. There were many others too numerous to
mention but a fascinating collection which
served to convince Mr Barnard that he was wrong
in his assumption.
